Kapardin Rudra- Rg Veda Mandala 1 Hymn 114

Background

Rudras are force-fields. There are eleven Rudras. Of this Kapardin Rudra is the 'braided' force-field.  Of all the particles, it is the 'quarks' that arise in a 'braided' form. Quarks always manifest in pairs or in triplets as 'condensates'. They always appear 'braided'.

Kapardin force-field is the field out of which Quark particles arise. The quark particles are the 'heroic abode' of all matter forms. All matter forms arise out of protons and electrons. Protons are made of quarks. Thus kapardin is said to be the abode of all matter forms.

The Rg Veda Mandala 1 Hymn 114 talks about the Kapardin Rudra, the braided force-field that causes the quarks and is the abode of the Universe. This sloka also has a reference for the puranic stories about varAha lifting the earth out of the waters with its 'tusk'. 

Executive Summary of Rg veda Mandala 1 Hymn 114

Kapardin Rudra, the force-field that gives rise to braided quarks is the provider of energy for all Universe.  This Rudra is the 'abode' of all Universal matter forms in the Universe. 

When matter forms evolve more and more in the Universe in the abode of Kapardin Rudra, 'information' content of the Universe is said to increase. Thus kapardin Rudra provides energy and information to the Universe.

While kapArdin Rudra, the heroic abode, initiates the evolutionary sacrifice with energy and information, our iSa (energy of electromagnetic field) Rudra, completes the evolutionary sacrifice.

 iSa invokes the varAham 'rupam' out of the heroic abode of kapArdin Rudra.  As the varAha evolves into further complex matter forms, Rudra becomes the flavor, becomes the food of all mortal beings that are the young offspring of Atman, providing them energy. 

The flavor of all mortal beings, the Rudra does not abandon (ririSa or ririkSa) any manifestations, becomes the source of all visible matter forms.  As Rudra becomes the source of visible matter forms, providing energy and information, from lowest of devas to highest of intelligence, the Universe hitherto filled with puruSa (dark matter) and ga (fundamental particles) increases its visible matter content. Thus Rudra is the 'remover' of puruSa and ga dominance.

The energy and information are the twin-strands on which the evolutionary sacrifice happens. barhis is said to be the grass on which yajna is performed. dvi-barhis are this energy and information.

Kapardin rudra with maruts receives the oblations, delivers all the the expressions of Universe that of mitra, varuna, the ultimate greatest aditi, sindhuh, prthvi and the dyau.

Summary of Rg veda Sloka Mandala 1 Hymn 114

Kapardin is the most powerful/strong/energetic of the rudras, the heroic abode, the great bearer of the intelligence. The dvipad and catuspad exist together in this Rudra.  kapardin Rudra is the 'nourisher' or the provider of energy. 

It is said this energy providing (mRDa) Rudra, not creator of the 'self-perception', the heroic abode, bestower of intelligence with obeisance. Rudra is the pita who accumulates and controls the sacrifice by 'manu' which brings or carries that non-dark one (asyAma).

puruSa is syAma the dark one which is invisible. Visible matter is asyAma or non-dark.  From Rudra's discharges arise the visible or asyAma, the visible, intelligent deva that arise out of the evolutionary sacrifice performed on the heroic abode of Rudra.

Sumna is same as Su-man. sumnAya is the property of 'thinking' or 'information'.  This property of 'information' (sumnAya) enters us by the sacrifice of oblations that are in motion (cara), unbroken/neutral (ariSTa) and heroic. These are the 'devas'.

While kapArdin Rudra, the heroic abode, initiates the evolutionary sacrifice with energy and information, our iSa (energy of electromagnetic field) Rudra, completes the evolutionary sacrifice, hastening the invocation of intelligence in that abode. At the same time, hostilities/envelopes are cast away. Our intelligence is greatly sought.

iSa greatly invokes the varAham 'rupam' out of the heroic abode of kapArdin Rudra. The varAha carries by its 'hasta' the 'sharma', 'varma' and leaves it on our shoulders.

vara-aham are the first of those particles with 'self' enclosed. Compared to primitive particles that cannot sustain on their own (like quarks, electrons), vara-aham are those particles with 'self' that can sustain and evolve on their own. 

These particles with enclosed 'self' carry 'zarma' and 'varma'. Sarma is translated as peace of mind, happiness, auspicious etc which are a state of mind. Sarma indicates something 'logical' or 'mental'. It is the micro-states or information content of any system or entropy. Hence Brahmanas or the Knowledge providers are titled 'Sharma'. Varma is translated as a physical envelope, physical protection, armor, shield etc. Varma is 'physical'. It is the physical energy of any system. Hence Ksatriyas or Energy providers are titled 'Varma'.

Thus Zarma and Varma are the energy and entropy of any matter forms that can sustain and evolve on their own. The first of such matter forms is varAham.  Hence they are said  to 'leave' energy and entropy on our shoulders.

Wild boar is addressed as varAha, as the ancient boar with a 'tusk' is the first animal form to be lifted out of waters completely and live on earth. The 'hasta' of this varAha is its 'tusk'. Hence varAha is said to have lifted the 'earth' (matter forms) out of water (energy) with its tusk (hasta).

As the varAha evolves into further complex matter forms, Rudra becomes the flavor, becomes the food of all mortal beings that are the young offspring of Atman, providing them energy. 

The flavor of all mortal beings, the Rudra does not abandon (ririSa or ririkSa), the manifestations from ultimate great to least, not the masculinity, not the feminity. It does not end in paternity, maternity, our dear bodily forms. Rudra does not abandon the young offspring, life, ga, asva. It is not bounded or limited by radiation. It possess the greatest of the oblations.

Rudra, the father of maruts, is the 'source' or 'mine' of all visible matter forms, heaping them together. The associate of that intelligence, best of energy provision is also greatly sought from that Rudra.

imā rudrāya tavase kapardine kṣayadvīrāya pra bharāmahe matīḥ | 
yathā śamasad dvipade catuṣpade viśvaṃ puṣṭaṃ grāme asminn anāturam ||

all these (imam) energetic (tavasa) one of the eleven rudras (kapardine) heroic abodes(ksayad viraya) great burden (bhara mahe) or seek the burden (bhara amahe) of opinion/consideration/intelligence (matih) as/like (yatha) reach together or union or accumulate (samasad) dvipad catuspad universe (visvam) nourish (puSTam) village (grama) in this (asminn) free from weariness (anaturam)

Kapardin is the most powerful/strong/energetic of the rudras, the heroic abode, the great bearer of the intelligence. As dvipad catuspad accumulate/unionize or exist together in this Rudra, kapardin Rudra is the 'nourisher' in this village/union that frees from weariness or the provider of energy. 

mṛDā no rudra uta no mayas kṛdhi kṣayadvīrāya namasā vidhemate | 
yacchaṃ ca yośca manur āyeje pitā tad aśyāma tava rudra praṇītiṣu ||

The energy provider (mrDa na)of rudras, it is said (uta) not (na) creator (krdhi) self- perception (mayas), heroic abode (ksayad viraya) with obesiances (namasa) grants intelligence (vidhe-mati) control (yaccham) pile/collection (caya) and (ca) of the manu (manur) sacrifice performer (ayeje) dad (pita) then/that (tad) non-black/dark (asyAma) your (tava) Rudra brought/carried (pranisu)

It is said this energy providing Rudra, not creator of the 'self-perception', the heroic abode, bestower of intelligence with obeisance. Rudra is the pita who accumulates and controls the sacrifice by 'manu' which brings or carries that non-dark one (asyAma).

mRDa is provider of energy. Hence it is translated as 'making one happy' or rejoice. 

aśyāma te sumatiṃ deva yajyayā kṣayadvīrasya tava rudra mīḍhvaḥ | 
sumnāyann id viśo asmākam ā carāriṣṭavīrā juhavāma te haviḥ || 

non-dark (asyama) those (te) good knowledge/intelligence (sumatim) deva out of the sacrifice (yajyaya) of the heroic abode (ksayad virasya) your (tava) Rudra discharging semen (midhvah) good thinking/manas property (su mnAyann) enter (visa) our (asmakam) moving (cara) unbroken (arista) heroic (vira) sacrifice our (juhavama) those (te) oblations (havi)

The non-dark those intelligent deva out of the sacrifice, the heroic abode, you Rudra's discharges. The property of good thinking/manas enter us by the sacrifice of these oblations that are moving unbroken/neutral heroic.

asyAma are the 'devas' that arise out of the evolutionary sacrifice of Rudra's discharges. The devas enter into us as good manas. They are the moving, neutral/unbroken, heroic oblations of the evolutionary sacrifice.

tveṣaṃ vayaṃ rudraṃ yajñasādhaṃ vaṅkuṃ kavim avase ni hvayāmahe | 
āre asmad daivyaṃ heDo asyatu sumatim id vayamasyā vṛṇīmahe || 

tva (you) iSam our (vayam) rudram accomplishing sacrifice(yajna sadham) hastening (vagkum) increasing intelligence (kavim) shelter/residence (avasa) greatly invoke (nihvaya mahe) on the other (are) our (asmad) divine (daivyam) surround/attire/envelope/hostilities (heDa) cast/throw away/drive (asyatu) good intelligence (sumatim) of our (vayam asya) greatly seek/want (vrnimahe)

You iSa (energy of electromagnetic field) of our Rudra, complete the evolutionary sacrifice, greatly invoke the hastening intelligence in the shelter/residence/abode. On the other hand, our divine envelope casts/throws away the intelligence greatly sought.

The intelligence evolution of Universe is hastened up in the sacrifice by iSa, the energy of the electromagnetic field. At the same time, hostilities/envelopes are cast asway. Our intelligence is greatly sought.

divo varāham aruṣaṃ kapardinaṃ tveṣaṃ rūpaṃ namasā nihvayāmahe | 
haste bibhrad bheṣajā vāryāṇi śarma varma chardir asmabhyaṃ yaṃsat || 

heavenly planets or new matter forms (diva) charm quarks that arise out of hadronic decay modes/wild boar (varaham) flaming but not heat, more light than heat (arusam) kapardinam you iSam, form/shape (rupam) salutations (namasa) greatly invoked (nihvaya mahe). in the hands (haste) maintaining/bearing (bibhrat) medicine/cure (bhesaja) watery or valuable (varyani) grace/delight/shelter (Zarma) armor (varma) expulsion (chardi) to each of us (asmabhyam) shoulders (aMsat)

You iSa obeisantly greatly invoke the 'rupam' of 'divo varAha' out of the energy of kapardin. This energy of kapardin is described as light/creative not hot/destructive (arUsa). varAha carries by hasta the valuable remedy sarma varma leaving it to our shoulders.

iSa creates the form of varAha out of the energy of kapardin. varAham are those with enclosed (vara) aham (self). They are matter forms with a 'self' that can sustain on their own fully and evolve to new matter forms. 

iSa, the energy of electromagnetic field creates such matter forms that can sustain on their own compared to fundamental particles that cannot.

varAha, the particles with self 'hand carry' sharma and varma and leave it to our shoulders (for us to carry further).

varAha, the particles with self (in comparison to fundamental particles that cannot sustain on their own), hand carry or discover the energy and entropy in matter forms and leave it to our shoulders.

varAha being described to lift earth (matter) out of waters (energy) comes from this sloka. varAha, by being the first sustainable matter forms lift the matter forms out of energy waters.

varAha is the wild boar because wild boars are the first beings that came to live on land fully. There is no hand for varAha, the wild-boar. Hasta for it are the tusks. Hence the varAha is said to have lifted the earth on its tusks.

iSa, the energy of electromagnetic field creates such matter forms that can sustain on their own with Sarma, the information content or entropy and Varma, the energy.

idaṃ pitre marutām ucyate vacaḥ svādoḥ svādīyo rudrāya vardhanam | 
rāsvā ca no amṛta marta bhojanaṃ tmane tokāya tanayāya mṛDa || 

this (idam) pitr marutam is said to be (ucyate) words/expressions (vacah) palatable (svAdo) of the palatable Rudra (svadiya rudraya) increasing (vardhanam) grant self (rA sva) and not (na) nectar (amrta) food of the mortals (marta bhojanam) of the atman (atmane) of the children(tokaya) of offsprings (tanayaya) the energy provider (mrDa) 

This pitr of maruts is said to become the flavor of the expressions, flavor that grows out of the Rudra. Granting self and non immortals, the food of mortality, provide energy to the children, offspring of the atman.

Rudra becomes the flavor, becomes the food of all mortal beings that are the young offspring of Atman, providing them energy.

mā no mahāntam uta mā no arbhakaṃ mā na ukṣantamuta māna ukṣitam | 
mā no vadhīḥ pitaraṃ mota mātaraṃ mā naḥ priyāstanvo rudra rīriṣaḥ || 

No not the ultimate (ma no antam) great (maha) it is said (uta) no not the least (ma no arbhakam) no not the sprinkler of sperm or masculinity (ma no ukSantam) it is said (uta) no not the drenched /feminity (ma no ukSitam) no not the limits (ma no avadhih) of father (pitaram) it is said nor the mother (ma uta mataram) , no not our fondly body (ma nah priyas tanva), Rudra abandon/give up (ririsa).

Abandon not Rudra the manifestations from ultimate great to least, not the masculinity, not the feminity. Let there be no end to the paternity, maternity, our dear bodily forms.

mā nas toke tanaye mā na āyau mā no goṣu mā no aśveṣu rīriṣaḥ | 
vīrān mā no rudra bhāmito vadhīr haviṣmantaḥ sadam it tvā havāmahe ||

no (ma) not (nas) the young (toka) offspring (tanaya), no (ma) not (na) life or long life (ayau) no (ma) not (na) the go (goSu) no not the asva (ma na asvesu) abandon (ririsah) hero (viran) no not rudra (ma no Rudra) bounded/limited by anger/shining/radiation (bhamito avadhi) possess the oblation (havismanta) always (sadam) you/your (it tva) seek these oblations/ great invocations (hava amahe)

Abandon, No not the young offspring, not life, not ga, not asva. Heroic Rudra, No not be bounded in radiation/shining, you always possess greatest of the oblations. ririkSa is same as ririSa which is to abandon or giving up.

upa te stomān paśupā ivākaraṃ rāsvā pitar marutāṃ sumnam asme | 
bhadrā hi te sumatir mṛDayat tama athā vayamava itte vṛṇīmahe || 

near/next to (upa) those (te) hymn maker or collector or one that heaps (stoman) guard of visible forms (pazu-pa) like (iva) abundant source like a mine (akaram) grants/gives self (ra sva) pitr of maruts, good thinking (sumna) in us (asme). associate (Bhadra) only those (hi te) good intelligence (sumatir) highest/peak of the energy providers (mrdaya tama) then, that also (atha) our (vayam) out of (ava) we seek/greatly sought (vrnimahe)

The father of maruts grants the good thinking by being the 'source or mine' of visible matter forms, collecting them. The associate of that intelligence, best of energy provision is also greatly sought.

pazu are visible matter forms. The one that keeps the visible matter forms is pasupa. Pusan is called pasupa.  

āre te goghnam uta pūruṣaghnaṃ kṣayadvīra sumnam asme te astu | 
mṛDā ca no adhi ca brūhi devādhā ca naḥ śarma yacha dvibarhāḥ ||

other/further (are) those (te) remover of ga, it is said (uta) remover of purusa, heroic abode (kSayadvira) good thinking (sumna) in us that (asme te) becomes (astu) providing energy (mrDa) and (ca) of (no) exceedingly (adhi) tells/explains (bruhi) the lowest of the devas (deva adhA) and our intelligence (sharma) which and (yat ca) twin-strands (dvi-barhih)

The heroic abode of visible matter forms becomes the remover of the 'ga' and 'purusha' by becoming the abode of good manas or good thinking and energy which exceedingly express the lowest of the devas to highest of information.

avocāma namo asmā avasyavaḥ śṛṇotu no havaṃ rudro marutvān | 
tan no mitro varuNo mÀmahantÀm aditiÏ sindhuH pRthivÁ uta dyauH

expressions (avocAm), with obeisance (namo), those delivered (avasyavah), hears of the oblations (srnotu no havam) that of the mitra, varuna, aditi, sindhu, prthvi and also dyauh.

Rudra with maruts that receives the oblations, delivers the expressions that of mitra, varuna, the ultimate greatest aditi, sindhuh, prthvi and the dyau.
