jyotiSa as vedAnga - Part 1

jyotiSa is not 'prediction' Predictive modelling  is a science of making informed inferences based on data from multi-dimensional sources, correlating them, making models out of them, continuously refining the models with more and more data. Predictive modelling is different from making instinctive predictions. All biological beings in the planet are interconnected, some direct, some indirect. These biological beings are connected with the Earth, Moon, Sun and the planets with varying range of impact. When we make a predictive model for the course of events of earth, the right way to do is to make models from a high altitude, a top-level view, from the Solar system to moon, earth, coming down to biological beings and their interactions on Earth. Jyotish sAstra  is study of 'luminaries' or light emitting/reflecting celestial objects for this purpose of predictive modelling, on the course of events in planet Earth from a top-level view. Atleast that w

Aditya Hrdayam Again - Part 64 - Asvins - From Atman to Manas

Background In the past few chapters, we went through 1. Force-fields (Scalar Higgs/Vishnu, Vector/Chakra, Spinor/Conch) (1) 2. Fundamental Particles (Panchajana/Five particle types, ChaturSana/Four right-handed particles) (2) 3. Interactions (Soma/strong, Madhu/Weak, Apa/Electromagnetic) (3) 4. Charges ( Vaishravana/Color, kAla/Weak, Yama/Electric) (3) 5. Composite Particles (Sura/Nucleons, Asura/Non-nucleons, Rakshasa/Vector and Pseudo-scalar mesons and Yaksa/Scalar and Pseudo-vector mesons) (4) 6. Concepts of Chirality, Helicity etc (4) 7. Asvins - The electromagnetic field (8) 8. How asvins grow vasus, learning/evolving molecular clouds (11) Now onto the next sloka Rg Veda Mandala 1 Hymn 182 Executive Summary of Rgveda Mandala 1 Hymn 182 Electromagnetic fields are of two kinds. Dasra, the near electromagnetic field and nAsatya the far electromagnetic field of electromagnetic radiation. Dasra creates the assemblies of matter forms, molecular clouds that le

Aditya Hrdayam Again - Part 63 - Hari, iSa and Asvins

Background In the past few chapters, we went through 1. Force-fields (Scalar Higgs/Vishnu, Vector/Chakra, Spinor/Conch) (1) 2. Concepts of Chirality, Helicity etc (4) Then we went through Rgveda Mandala 1 Hymn 180 that describe the asvins, the electromagnetic field. If asva, the horses or photons that course through, asvins are the twin-headed electromagnetic field, the chariots, that follow the photons. Asvins are of two types. Dasra, the electromagnetic field mediated by virtual photons inside matter. nasatyas the electromagnetic field caused by movement of real photons. Read more here (8) Now

Aditya Hrdayam Again - Part 62 - Asvins - Electromagnetic field

Background In the past few chapters, we went through 1. Force-fields (Scalar Higgs/Vishnu, Vector/Chakra, Spinor/Conch) (1) 2. Fundamental Particles (Panchajana/Five particle types, ChaturSana/Four right-handed particles) (2) 3. Interactions (Soma/strong, Madhu/Weak, Apa/Electromagnetic) (3) 4. Composite Particles (Sura/Nucleons, Asura/Non-nucleons, Rakshasa/Vector and Pseudo-scalar mesons and Yaksa/Scalar and Pseudo-vector mesons) (4) 6. Concepts of Chirality, Helicity etc (4) Let's understand Asvins as in the Rg Veda Mandala 1 Hymn 180 'Executive Summary' of Rgveda Mandala 1 Hymn 180 asva are the 'photon's, the 'quanta' or packets of energy in light or electromagnetic radiation or those that mediate the electromagnetic field. asvins are the twin-headed electromagnetic field (electric and magnetic field) that follows the photons. If the photons (that mediate the electromagnet
